April Counterfeit Kit

I'm the final stop on today's Master Forger kit hop. You can find the inspiration kit, the full hop list and details for the new month on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog today.

I pulled another very small kit this month. The inspiration kit had these lovely muted, soft colors, and they reminded me of some Basic Grey Hey You items I picked up a few weeks ago. I just used some of another Hey line in last month's kit, but I am perfectly ok with that.

As I looked for other little bits for the kit, I somehow ended up with a lot of pink. It sure doesn't match the papers, but I'm going to find a way to work it together. The other theme that emerged? Bargain brands! I try to be picky about not buying things just because they're cheap/on sale, but this kit highlights some enamel dots, metal accents and pearls that were super bargains compared to other brands (do I sound like a Walmart commercial?). I'm looking forward to getting them out of the package and onto a page.

Thanks for visiting today! I know it continues to be really quiet around here, and I'll try to change that fact this month. Until then, hope you all have a creative month!

  1. That certainly is a little kit but I like the items in it.Sometimes the cheaper items are better in some ways.

  4. Pared down and simplified. It's the 80/20 rule in action. Looking forward to seeing what comes of this short and sweet kit.

  6. It is interesting that Hey Boy and pink embellishments could work so well together. This should be a fun set of stuff of work with. I just saw those BG little pads as well and had to pick one up. Enjoy your kit.
